Product Introduction
HDPE steel‑wire mesh reinforced composite pipe is a steel–plastic composite pressure pipeline that uses high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the matrix and a high‑strength steel wire mesh as the reinforcing skeleton.
The pipe employs a high-performance adhesive to firmly bond the steel wire mesh skeleton with the HDPE inner and outer layers, enabling the steel wire skeleton to assume the primary reinforcing function while leveraging HDPE’s excellent corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and low-friction properties.
Compared with conventional solid-wall HDPE pipes, the steel‑wire mesh skeleton further enhances the pipe’s pressure resistance, stiffness, and dimensional stability. Compared with traditional steel pipes, the HDPE outer layer effectively isolates corrosive media, reducing the risk of corrosion, while also offering advantages such as lighter weight and easier installation.
HDPE steel‑wire mesh reinforced composite pipes are suitable for potable water and wastewater systems, slurry and tailings transport in mining operations, industrial fluid conveyance, chemical media handling, agricultural irrigation, and other pressure‑bearing applications requiring high strength and corrosion resistance.
Product Features
1. High pressure-bearing capacity
The high-strength steel wire mesh skeleton provides reinforced support to the pipeline, enhancing its overall pressure-bearing capacity and making it suitable for fluid transport systems operating at various pressure levels.
2. Steel–Plastic Composite Structure
The steel wire mesh and HDPE form a stable composite structure through an adhesive layer, combining the reinforcing properties of steel with the corrosion resistance of HDPE.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance
The HDPE inner and outer layers effectively isolate the steel wire reinforcement from both the conveyed medium and the external environment, exhibiting excellent resistance to acids, alkalis, salts, and a wide range of chemical media.
4. Good stiffness and dimensional stability
The steel wire mesh skeleton enhances the pipe’s stiffness and dimensional stability, making it better suited than all-plastic pipes to withstand higher pressures and more complex operating conditions.
5. Smooth inner wall, low flow resistance
HDPE features a smooth, even inner surface that resists scale formation and fouling, helping to reduce frictional resistance and pressure loss during fluid transport.
6. Excellent impact resistance
The steel-wire-reinforced structure enhances the pipeline’s overall impact resistance and deformation resistance, making it suitable for underground applications and complex industrial environments.
7. Lightweight and easy to install
Compared with traditional steel pipes, steel‑wire mesh‑reinforced HDPE composite pipes are lighter in weight, making transportation, handling, lifting, and on-site installation much more convenient.
8. Good flexibility
While reinforced with a steel wire skeleton, the pipeline retains a certain degree of flexibility, enabling it to accommodate moderate foundation settlement, topographic variations, and pipe displacement.
9. Wide range of applications
It can be used in mining, water supply and drainage, industrial fluid systems, chemical processing, agricultural irrigation, oil and gas fields, and other pressure‑transmission systems.
