Product Introduction
Steel Wire Reinforced PE Pipe is a composite pressure pipeline that uses polyethylene (PE) as the matrix and high-strength steel wire as the reinforcing skeleton.
By tightly laminating a high-strength steel wire reinforcement layer with PE material, the pipe combines the high strength of steel with the corrosion resistance, low friction, and flexibility of polyethylene. The steel wire reinforcement enhances the pipe’s pressure-bearing capacity, stiffness, and dimensional stability, while the inner and outer PE layers protect the reinforcing skeleton.
Compared with traditional steel pipes, steel‑wire‑reinforced PE pipes are lighter in weight and offer superior corrosion resistance, making them easier to transport and install. Moreover, compared with conventional solid‑wall PE pipes, their reinforced structure can meet the demands of higher pressures and more demanding engineering applications.
Steel‑wire‑reinforced polyethylene composite pipes are suitable for mine backfilling, tailings transportation, industrial fluid handling, water supply and drainage, irrigation, chemical processing, and other high‑pressure fluid‑transport systems.
Product Features
1. High pressure-bearing capacity
The high-strength steel wire reinforcement layer provides the primary structural strengthening, enhancing the pipeline’s pressure-bearing capacity and making it suitable for high-pressure fluid transport systems.
2. Steel–Plastic Composite Structure
The steel wire and PE material form a composite pipe wall, combining the strength of steel with the corrosion resistance of polyethylene to deliver excellent overall mechanical performance.
3. Excellent corrosion resistance
The inner and outer layers of the PE sheath protect the steel‑wire reinforcement, preventing it from direct exposure to the conveyed medium and the external environment, making it suitable for water, industrial fluids, and certain corrosive media.
4. Smooth inner wall, low friction
The inner wall of PE is smooth and even, making it resistant to adhesion and scale formation, thereby reducing frictional resistance and pressure loss during fluid transport.
5. Excellent impact resistance
The steel-wire reinforcement structure enhances the pipeline’s overall stiffness and impact resistance, enabling it to withstand the complex operating conditions found in underground, mining, and industrial environments.
6. Lightweight and easy to install
Compared with traditional steel pipes, steel‑wire‑reinforced PE pipes are lighter in weight, making them easier to transport, handle, lift, and install on site, thereby helping to reduce construction complexity.
7. Good flexibility
The steel wire employs a composite reinforcement structure, which enhances pipeline strength while maintaining a degree of flexibility, enabling it to accommodate moderate foundation settlement, topographic variations, and pipeline displacement.
8. Suitable for mining and industrial conveying
It can be used in mine backfilling, tailings pipelines, industrial conveying systems, water supply and drainage, irrigation, and other pressure pipeline systems that require high strength and corrosion resistance.
